I've just been adding some info to the wikis and I realized that the Spoiler template is outdated since it says to watch out for ACOT spoilers, however OTK was released a few weeks ago and those are the spoilers people should be looking out for!
I tried editing the template, but to no avail.
Just wanted to let you know, hopefully all works out :)
A user recently made the page Fillip of Mount enora, which was unneeded and also incorrectly spelled. They made rude and opinionated content and put it in this page. Could you block the user that made that page? I put the Delete template on it. the user was User:Cs4374
Hi Selene! I'm not sure if you remember me since I haven't edited here in a while, but anyways, congrats on adopting the wiki! I became an admin on another wiki and it took up a lot of my attention, which is why I had to stop editing here. 😢 Things have calmed down recently on my other wiki though!
I know there are already 4 admins here but I've noticed that there are still quite a few disturbing and crazy comments on several of the characters' pages. I wouldn't mind going through them and editing/deleting the really bad ones. Just thought I'd throw the offer out there since no one else seems to be doing that.
Also, I just fixed some vandalism/false info on one of the main character's pages that had been up there for about two months . . . it doesn't seem like any of the current admins are that active on here anymore.
So anyways, let me know . . either way, I'll try to help as much as I can. 🙂
Hi, Selene! I moved your Rules page to The School for Good and Evil Library:Policies and guidelines so that it doesn't interfere with the main namespace a.k.a. the article pages, and renamed it so that it sounds less imposing. I just thought that Rules sounded absolute, while Policies and guidelines sounded less strict, because we can work around with the policies and make some exceptions. Hope that's okay with you.
And I was thinking that we could tone down the punishments, especially for new and inexperienced users (as opposed to vandals), and users who just came back from a hiatus, especially because a wiki keeps changing.
And I also added a suggestion in my discussion post, please check it out and share your thoughts. I was also thinking about deleting pages for people who transformed genders (e.g. Edgar & Essa and Filip of Mount Honora), as there is really no reason to keep them around, besides having their own pages, which is unnecessary. Just my thoughts.
P.S. If you ever got this same message twice, sorry. Internet is a bit janky right now.
Oh, also I wanted to add this in so that I don't make another message on your wall: when you create a blog post with the intention of officially announcing something about the books or the wiki, add the category Announcements so that it'll be included in the "Camelot Courier"/Announcement blog section of the home page.
Hi, Selene. Could I ask what time you go online, and specify if it's UTC or your own time zone, so that I'll know?
I wanted to talk about some things regarding potential changes around the wiki. As you can see, the pages are in a state of disarray, and by disarray, I mean that there's no uniformity, mostly every page is its own individual style. Of course, having individuality is good, but in the wiki's case, it makes a big old mess.
I was thinking we could turn on chat for a little while and we could exchange thoughts there. What do you think? Let's also wait for Zia's reply on this one and we'll have a discussion.
Actually, I'll just request to enable our discussions feature. In that way, we can join the discussion in our own spare time. Is that okay? It says I need everyone's support for a feature to be turned on. XD
Hi Selene, I'm Khosmo. You may recognize my edits such as my simple design on the homepage. I was planning to adopt the wiki back then as evident in my blog post two years ago, but circumstances in real life have prevented me from leisurely going on Fandom. But now, I'm back and I would want to request something: I would like to gain admin rights as the designer of the wiki and I would also want to work part-time as a content moderator. I know I'm asking for a bit too much, and I have contacted Zia, who can vouch for my passion as a designer. I promise to give my best in updating the aesthetic of the wiki. I also want to help create a Manual of Style and help users in editing here for their first time. Please do think about it. Thank you.
Sorry for my late response! And of course, the wiki needs as much help as it can get now. I'd be happy to make you an admin and the wiki designer! I put in my own additions to the wiki homepage, but I'm not much of a designer myself, as you can see :P
Hi, Selene! Thank you so much for the promotion. I'm not complaining, but are you sure about giving me bureaucrat rights? Did you accidentally select it? If you did, I can revoke them if you want me to.
Oh, thank you so much! Actually, I got access to the four chapters and I have read them, so there's no need to add any more chapters if you're doing so for me. I mean, if you want to add the rest of the chapters, go ahead. I just wanted you to know I have already read them since my previous request in case you're uploading them for me :)
